2010 Disney Dollar update!
I get many emails from people asking wether or not Disney is going to be printing Disney Dollars this year.. I am trying to contact someone at one of the parks to get some firm information on this. If I get some info. I will update this post.
Update 2/2/2010
I have made several calls to Walt Disney World Resort trying to get in touch with someone that knows something about the status of whether or not there will be 2010 Disney Dollars printed this year, and how to purchase them outside the parks.
Officially, the Disney Stores have ceased selling them. So this option is out, and apparently will not be returning again.
A woman I talked to at Walt Disney World guest services told me she thought that Disney Dollars were available by mail, and in person at the parks. She transferred me to someone that was supposed to know more about Disney Dollar sales specifically. He told me this was incorrect, and that they can only be purchased now at the parks.
Know one I talked to knew whether there will be 2010 Disney Dollars printed or not, and actually seemed quite oblivious to the fact that there was even a controversy about this issue. So I have no idea as to the availability of 2010 Dollars, but will continue to research and update as necessary.

I received an email from a customer who wrote to WDW guest services asking about the availability of 2010 Disney Dollars. She emailed me their reply which appears below.
Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort. There is currently no plans for a new series of Disney Dollars.
However, Disney Dollars from the most recent Celebrate Today series are available in $1, $5, and $10 dollar denominations and are available for purchase at the following Walt Disney World Resort locations:
* Theme Park Guest Relations
* Guest Relations at Downtown Disney Marketplace
* Disney Resort Hotel Concierge Desks
* Information Desk in the World of Disney Store at Downtown Disney Marketplace
